At least 2 Watkins (!st & 2nd left) and a Sun tug (R) towing on the American freighter Helena Modjeska which had run onto the Goodwin Sands 13-9-1946. Although much of her £750,000 cargo including plant, trucks, 3000 tons of food and 35 tons of HE were salved and her crew, including 2 stowaways were saved, she soon broke her back. The two halves were eventually refloated and on 10-6-1947 towed to the River Blackwater and later sold for scrap. RGR Colln.
